Watch Felix Drop From The Stratosphere

Red Bull Stratos Jump, Live

After many attempts and delays over the years, it appears Felix Baumgartner and the Red Bull Stratos team may finally be launching. If all goes according to plan he should be jumping from 120,000 feet in just a few hours. You can watch live here at http://www.redbullstratos.com/live Presently, there appears to be a delay. The countdown count has been stopped. Will this be another aborted attempt? Check it out!

UPDATE: The countdown is running and it appears the launch is on!

UPDATE 2: Well, should have guessed… They have just aborted the launch due to high winds. At least we got some views of Joe Kittinger in the control room. It’s his 1960 record Baumgartner is trying to beat.

I was at the fence….and just after they started inflating the wind really picked up and almost knocked the balloon to the ground….it was a good call.
